The owner said that they couldn’t wash the towels due to “black stuff” on it? Me and my father went hiking so there might be dirt but we were very cautious and cleaned as much as we can. It was around 9:50am before checkout @10am, the owners wife was already waiting outside to come in and complain about something in the room. Later on after we left, not even 15 minutes laters. They had sent us messages and started to complain about the towels and wanted to charge us. My mom called the owner (BOB) and started asking what was the charge of the towels and how bad was the “damage” to the towels. ( The owner did say it was going to be 100 sum dollars, if you can’t afford that. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS! ) Not even 5 minutes into the call the owner said that he wants us to never come back, even though we stayed there in the past and never had issues. It’s understandable but it’s also ridiculous when we are saying we never did damage or stole. So my mom kept her cool and kindly said bye and hung up. The sad part is that it’s Father’s Day and It’s my Mom’s birthday. So the fact that u have to charge 100 sum dollars is very upsetting. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook meals, and the discount for the hot springs was a great perk. The Dwellings in La Verkin, Utah, just outside of Zion National Park, were such a great find. The location is perfect—close enough to the park for easy access, but far enough out to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. The property itself was clean and well-maintained, and the views surrounding it were absolutely beautiful—exactly what you hope for when staying near Zion. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. Wir waren für eine Nacht in the dwellings. Das Zimmer war supermodern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Wir hatten Zimmer Nummer 17 mit einem herrlichen Ausblick. Es ist tatsächlich von der Straße her etwas lauter, was mich aber nicht gestört hat. Meinen Mann etwas. Es gibt einen kleinen Laden, wo man Snacks und Getränke kaufen kann. Neben an ist ein Restaurant, mit denke guter Pizza. Suf dem Balkon ist ein Grill. Die Küche ist mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. We went to go to the Zion Canyon hot springs and its across the street so we could habe drinks and walk home. There was also a small walking trail below the dwellings leading to a river that was so beautiful. Worth a quick look. The pictures were well taken in that they appeared much more spacious then they were in actuality. We had the one with 2 bedrooms. Which was 1 bedroom and a loft with 2 bunk beds. Luckily we had 4 instead of 6 as it would have been squishy with 6. The kitchen was well stocked in comparison to many homes we have stayed in. I was able to make lemon picatta with their supplies and its a pretty technical dish for traveling. The back yard was adorable and had nice seating to see the view. They had a cute outside kitchen area that was a prep table, a charcoal grill and a little mounted table with 2 chairs. Very tasteful. I believe this home would be handicap accessible because there is a bedroom on the first floor and no stairs in the entrance. Front office was very responsive to the one question we had, but the pool on site is like the funniest pool I have ever seen. The Dwellings in LA Verkin is a great place to stay. They have everything you need including a full kitchen, but only a one burner hot plate. However they provide a Weber charcoal grill. There are comfortable Adirondack chairs on the deck that has a nice view of a canyon and river. The night sky is also impressive. We stayed here 3 nights while hiking around Zion and exploring areas around the park. There is a nice walking trail that leaves from the property and takes you down by the water where there was a bunch of wildlife like birds, and lizards. I highly recommend this place, really clean and taken care of. The beds were comfortable, nice shower, big tv. The best part of this place is the view from the back patio area. The sunset was beautiful and it's a great spot to sit and eat breakfast or take out food. The pizza place next door that you can walk to was also great for dinner. The accommodations were adorable, more like a studio apartment than a hotel room, with a kitchenette (dishes, refrigerator, etc), that made it easy to enjoy breakfast and snacks during our stay. One of our favorite parts was the incredible view. We spent each morning sitting outside with a cup of coffee and each evening relaxing with a glass of wine while taking in the beautiful scenery. It was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we needed. The location was perfect, too. We loved having the hot springs just across the street—they were so relaxing after a day of exploring. During our trip we also went biking, played golf, and enjoyed discovering everything the area has to offer. If you’re looking for a comfortable, peaceful getaway with beautiful views and plenty to do nearby, we highly recommend The Dwellings. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The owners were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. We stayed in Room 15, and the view was absolutely breathtaking—waking up to the beautiful scenery was one of the highlights of our trip. They are situated off the Main Street so at night you hear the vehicles but they provide ear plugs for light sleepers . The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. One of the best perks was being able to purchase discounted admission to the nearby hot springs through the lodge. It was a great value and made our experience even better. We also loved that there is a beautiful hiking trail just steps from the property, making it easy to get outside and enjoy the incredible Southern Utah landscape. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning views, clean accommodations, friendly hospitality, and easy access to outdoor adventures, I highly recommend The Dwellings.
